Do I need an account, and what data does the app collect?
There is no account. The app does not collect, transmit or sell personal data, and it has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Details are in our privacy notice.
Where are my words and progress stored?
Your words, reading history, progress and settings are stored only on your Mac, in the app’s own storage. Backups are files you create and keep yourself.
How do translation and pronunciation work?
Translation is built into your device and provided by Apple Translation. Pronunciation uses the system voices of macOS.
What happens when I open a link to a source text?
Links to the sources of texts open in your web browser.
How do I report a problem?
Send an email to [email protected] and include the version of the system software on your Mac and the app version, which you can find in the About window.
